I focus on adolescents and adults using CBT and other individualized tools to change perspectives and empower the person. I primarily work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD/trauma, and relationship concerns.

There are some challenges we feel ill-equipped to handle, especially when they accompany major life transitions. These experiences can greatly impact our sense of stability and leave us feeling incapable and even doubtful about the future. I am committed to providing honest, respectful, and thoughtful treatment to serve your needs best. I seek to help individuals who feel stuck due to negative past experiences or trauma. I assist people in uncovering patterns and negative self-talk that have resulted in unhealthy behaviors.

My work with people is strength-based and client-centered. My eclectic approach combines multiple modalities and tools depending on your needs and goals. Some of them include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Christian Counseling, Solution-Focused Therapy, Art Therapy, Aroma Therapy, and Sand Tray Therapies.

Social/Restorative Justice, Collaborative Problem-Solving, Spirituality, and Moral Reconation Therapy are other practices and theories that influence my approach to therapy. My education, combined with years of experience as a counselor/teacher to the at-risk population, has influenced my work with adolescents and adults.

I desire to help people overcome the concerns that prevent them from living and experiencing fulfillment. I enjoy being able to encourage people and celebrate their successes. But the most meaningful moments are when “the light bulb comes on,” which changes the person’s path. I was born for this!
